Fund Raising Strategies

Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) is an organisation that can assist your club to raise funds. This is for companies that wish to make a donation and not have any branding on uniforms or equipment and is tax deductible.

  • Play for Purpose is a company that assists you with fundraising. Once set up, for every $10 raffle ticket that your club sells, $5 goes to the club and $5 goes to raising prizes for Play for Purpose. This is a fantastic idea and Play for Purpose is more than willing to assist. Here are a couple of links tailored to each Club's fundraising page (to give you an idea of what your Club's page may look like) and an information pack.

  • Funters Tipping is a great way for your Club to generate a recurring weekly profit, 12 months of the year without doing too much work. This is a simple tipping competition that can generate funds for your club. Currently you can choose horse racing (which runs 12 months of the year) or AFL but coming soon will be EPL, NRL and NBA. Please note that horse racing IS NOT PUNTING this is simply choosing a horse based on name, colours or jockey, there are no odds involved. Your club sets the entry fee and the cash prize. For example, if you have 100 people enter and charge an entry fee of $10 you generate $1000. So you can have a first prize of $500 and $500 goes to the club minus the set up of $30 each a week. Too easy.
